The Project: A leading Caribbean bank acquired a major competitor. Consolidation presented opportunities for knowledge sharing, greater market reach and operational efficiency. IBM Global Business Services was tasked with leading post-merger integration.

My Role: Service Delivery Lead, led team through analysis of banking functions for Dutch Caribbean region (Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, Suriname). Identified business areas for process and technology improvement.

  • Gathered and synthesized technical banking information to determine overall business impact of recommendations



  • Client realized annual opex savings of $5M as a result of implementing various system changes and consolidating functional areas in the Caribbean central hub (Trinidad & Tobago).

  • Process and technology improvements to lending and online banking applications, improving speed of access to key banking services to customers in the Dutch Antilles.
